ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

D. Pharm – Diploma in Pharmacy (2 Years)

  • For Diploma in Pharmacy, the student should have passed 10+2 or Intermediate exam with Science as a subject
  • First-year of Three year Degree course in Science
  • Predegree examination
  • Any other qualification approved by the PCI.

SCOPE

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a 2 year course. It is an under graduate diploma programme in the medicinal field of Pharmacy which enables a candidate to know the basic concepts of pharmaceutical sciences. On successful completion of the course, the candidate will have to undergo 500 hours of practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months in a Govt. Hospital or recognized institute approved for the purpose by Pharmacy Council of India. Upon successful completion, students can get registered as Pharmacists under the different State Pharmacy Council.

  • Medical Representative: Similar to pharmaceutical sales representatives, medical representatives promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals.

  • Drugstore Manager: Overseeing the operations of a drugstore, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Regulatory Affairs Assistant: Assisting in regulatory compliance tasks related to product registrations, licenses, and approvals.
  • Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technician: Participating in quality control testing and ensuring that pharmaceutical products meet regulatory standards.
